Weekend:IN - Dreamy Interiors & Creative Women

You may remember that last summer I was lucky enough to spend the best

day in Somerset

being introduced to lots of independent brands thanks to Olivia from

WKND:in

. As a blogger one of the most rewarding things is being able to get to know interesting and inspiring companies to shout about. That’s the main reason I started blogging, to share all the things I loved with the hopes of spreading the word about things that are important to me.

As a blogger it’s my job to find interesting and beautiful things and share the love which is why I enjoy the WKND:in events so much. There’s nothing like spending the day with like minded people and getting to know lovely new brands to leave you smiling and excited. This winter I was invited to my second WKND:in press day and I got to know some truly great UK based brands, today I want to introduce them to you all!

The Hotel

The event was held at

Leman Locke

which is a really beautiful hotel in East London. There were lots of lovely corners to snap photos of including a blush pink sofa, lots of potted plants and velvet mustard chair. There’s a lovely little café downstairs and a great lunch spot on the first floor so you can pop in and have a nosey at all the design details if you’d like!

Miss Pom Pom

The first brand we got to know were

Miss Pom Pom

and their colourful knits. All their products are made from acrylic yarn so they’re cruelty-free. The geometric patterns and candy colours are the perfect solution to dull winter clothing.

Stalf

Boy oh boy was I excited to discover

Stalf

. I feel like I’ve found my new favourite clothing brand, I mean just look at those fluffy cardigans! I popped on one of their Breton tops and dungarees and I felt so comfortable (a must in my clothes).

Ellie Beaumont

Ellie Beaumont

have a really beautiful selection of watches, I’d say that they specialise in blending femininity with minimalism. They also do the most perfect blush toned leather straps which are quite difficult to find – they’re not too pink!

Feather and Stone

I really like wearing delicate jewellery, I just can't get away with chunky heavy stuff as I get too irritated and want to take it off! I like the kind of jewellery that you don’t notice until the light hits it, the offerings from

F&S

are exactly that and I especially love the hammered rings. I popped on a few green stones to match my engagement ring and I almost forgot to take them off as I liked them so much.

Shoreditch Nails

Just in time for some jewellery photos was a manicure from the super cool

Shoreditch Nails

who offer up classic manicures as well as minimalistic nail art options. As I’m a bit boring I went for simple dots on top of a copper nail polish. I will definitely be usng them next time I want some fancy nail art doing.

Plumb & Ashby

I’ve been aware of

P&A

for years, mainly because I just love their adorable doggy mascot Bertie. They’ve grown their natural bath and body product selection and us bloggers were so lucky to get the chance to do some “shopping” and pick out a couple of products. As soon as I got home I lit their Spiced Orange and Berry candle and let me tell you it’s hands down the best candle I’ve ever used. It’s such good value for money, burns beautifully and filled my flat with the warming scent so quickly. I highly recommend you go have a look at their selection.

Peas and Needles

After a really delicious lunch of different salads (my favourite kind of food) in the hotel’s restaurant we met of

Peas and Needles

to learn the art of weaving. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from weaving, I’ve wanted to do it for ages but I expected it to be really tricky. The joy of this craft soon revealed itself as soon as we added the first layer of tassels to the loom, after that I was zooming off into weaving heaven. I accidentally made my design look like a rain cloud but I absolutely love it, it’s hanging proudly by my bed.

WKND:in have recently expanded to offer a broader selection of events (they’re not just for bloggers anymore) and I have just signed up to their

branding workshop

which I am incredibly excited about.

All the photos featured in this post were shot by

Sophie Carefull

. Sophie shot my london wedding and she is incredible!
