Chamomile + Linen Pillow How To
I made this chamomile and lavender filled mini cushion today. It was really quick and easy so I thought I would run through a quick "how to".
Supplies:
Medium weight fabric
Dried herbs of your choice
Scissors
Sewing machine
Thread
Ok so first of all set up your machine with the correct coloured thread for your fabric. The fabric I chose was a cotton / linen blend printed with one of my designs.
Cut out two rectangles measuring 7 x 5cm. Pretty sides together, pin down three sides of your fabric and sew down these three side only. Remember to back stitch at the beginning and end.
Using the open end, fill your cushion half way with a nice blend of dried herbs. I recommend chamomile and lavender for their calming effect. Once the cushion is half filled tuck in the open end hiding the messy edges inside the cushion and neatly stitch the length as close to the edge as possible.
Oh look, what a pretty thing you've made. Pop it in your drawers or on your pillow for sweet smelling linens.
